At what age did you start paddling and how did you become involved in the sport?

I started paddling when I was 7 years old due to my fatherís influence. He practice canoeing since child too so he introduce me this sport.

Where and when was your first competition, and how did you do?

My first competition was on Arrepiado Ė Tancos, Const‚ncia at the age of 8 years old. It was a competition of 500m and I won it.

What has inspired you to train and compete at an International level?

The people I met during all these years and the places I know is one of many reasons. The proud of carrying my country and have good results is other reasons.

What is your preference - individual or team boats, and why?

Itís completely different race. I canít choose one. I like individual boats because itís just me, my work, my proud but I like team boats because it makes the team mates closer and team work is very funny. Correct all the mistakes on a team boat needs more commitment and sport is all about commitment and dedication.

What race distance do you prefer, and why?

I prefer 200m because I prefer short distances and fast races.

What has been your biggest accomplishment(s) in the sport?

Two times third place on an European competition and 8th place on worlds championship.

What is the best advice you have been given and who offered it to you?

Never believe on luck and work harder everyday because impossible is nothing.

Tell us about your current training schedule. Describe an average day for you.

Everyday at morning I always go to the water and at the afternoon I have gym or water and running train.

What do you do for fun and relaxation?

I like to read, listen to music or hanging out with my friends or family.

Next summer, the Junior and Under 23 World Championships are in Canada, what did you think when you first heard the announcement? Have you been to Canada before?

Iíve never been on Canada so I feel very excited because itís probably my best chance to go to Canada.

What would you like to do after your Canoe/Kayak career is over?

I donít but probably training younger people to achieve their goals.

What is your favourite thing about the sport of Canoe/Kayak? Do you have any special memory that you would like to share?

My favourite thing is the freedom I feel while Iím paddling. My best memory was when I get the third place on European 2011 because itís my first international competition and I totally not expecting this.

What is your goal for the 2013 season?

The world championship on Canada

What is your dream goal?

The Olympic Games
